Drought Contingency Plan In Effect

NOTICE

DUE TO LOW RESERVOIR LEVELS AT FALCON AND AMISTAD, THE CITY OF ROMA HAS ENTERED STAGE 3 (MODERATE) OF ITS WATER CONSERVATION AND DROUGHT CONTINGENCY PLAN. PLEASE OBEY THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

Attention City of Roma Public Water System Users:

The City of Roma's Public Water System is currently at Stage 3 - Moderate Drought Conditions of our Drought Contingency Plan. It is crucial that all residents adhere to the following water use restrictions to help conserve our water supply:

1. Target Water use Reduction: 6%

2. Mandatory water use Restrictions:

     • Irrigation Restrictions:

          • Irrigation using hose-end sprinklers or automatic sprinkler systems for lawns, gardens, and other plants is prohibited except between 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

               • Even-numbered addresses may water on Mondays and Fridays,

               • Odd-numbered addresses (1,3,5,7,9) may water on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

               • Hand-held hoses or drip irrigation systems are exempt.

          • Athletic Field Irrigation:

               • Permitted only between 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Even-numbered addresses may water on Mondays and Fridays; odd-numbered addresses on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

          • Vehicle Washing:

               • Prohibited except between 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Even-numbered addresses may wash on Mondays and Fridays; odd-numbered addresses on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

          • Golf Courses:

               • Watering of fairway areas is prohibited unless using treated wastewater, reuse water, or well water.

3. Water Use Surcharge:

     • A surcharge of $10.00 will be applied to customers using over 8,000 gallons per month.

We urge all residents to comply with these restrictions to ensure we can maintain an

adequate water supply during this drought. Your cooperation is vital to our community's

wellbeing.
