Dear Citizens of Roma,
It's a dream come true to serve as your Mayor and to work alongside a dedicated group of City Council members, City Administrators, and Employees. Through God's grace, I will complete my first four-year term in office this coming November. I want to express my profound gratitude to all of you for allowing me to serve you and your families. Your support and trust are not just appreciated, but they are the very essence of our collective efforts in striving to build a stronger community. You are the heart of Roma, and your support keeps us moving forward. As I prepare to begin a second term in office, I want to ensure our citizens are well-informed about important events in our community. To achieve this, I plan to publish a weekly message called "A Word From Our Mayor" on Facebook and all other city social media outlets. This weekly message will strictly serve as a public service announcement, providing crucial updates and information. It's not a platform for interactive discussions or back-and-forth banter but rather a tool to better inform our community about projects, events, and issues impacting our city.
The City Council's role is to serve as your advocate, listen to your concerns, and provide a vision for the city that will ultimately lead to an improved quality of life for all citizens. This vision, guided by your feedback and our collective aspirations, is a commitment to your well-being that inspires us to work for the betterment of Roma. To bring this vision to life, we depend on our city manager and our entire staff to handle the daily operations of our city. It's important to us that the city's needs are met in a responsible and timely manner. If citizens need to address a specific issue, we will direct them to contact our offices and schedule an appointment with our City Manager or Department Administrators. If you can't reach us by phone, please email us. Our contact information can be found at www.cityofroma.net.
Finally, I want this weekly message to be a source of hope, community pride, and encouragement. Our city has many needs, but it's also a place of immense beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. I encourage all of us to seek out the positive and to build upon everything that makes Roma a wonderful place to live.
Sincerely,
Mayor
