Dear Roma Citizens,
The holiday season is here, and I am thrilled about this special time of year. As we prepare for our Thanksgiving gatherings, let's take a moment to reflect on the many blessings God has given us,
especially the time we share with family and friends. There is always something to be thankful for, so let's pause, reflect on our lives, and maintain a joyful outlook.
Have you driven by our Guadalupe Plaza recently? You may have noticed the beautiful holiday decorations that adorn our newly renovated plaza, including our stunning Christmas tree. To kick off
the holiday season, the City of Roma and Roma ISD will host our annual Christmas Parade and Lighting of the Tree Ceremony tomorrow, Thursday, November 21st. The parade begins at 5 PM, and
everyone will gather at the plaza by 5:30 PM. Please make plans to attend this cherished event. There will be an opportunity to take pictures with Santa Claus and plenty of treats and musical entertainment
for the entire family.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Lastly, on behalf of the City Council, I would like to extend warm wishes to Mrs. Isabel Gonzalez Lopez, a proud Roma citizen, on her 100th birthday. Mrs. Lopez celebrated her milestone birthday on
Tuesday, and I will be reading an official proclamation in her honor during the Holiday Kick-Off event tomorrow afternoon. May God continue to bless her and her family.
Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving Break!
Sincerely,
Mayor
