Dear Roma Citizens,
The ballots have been counted, and the people have spoken. New leaders will soon take office at the local, state, and national levels. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in our democratic process. Your active involvement, especially those who took the time to vote, is a testament to our shared commitment to the common good. Your votes will shape our nation's future, and your influence is invaluable. Regardless of the election outcome, I remain committed as your mayor to working with any government leader who prioritizes Roma's safety, well-being, and prosperity. May God's providence guide our country, school district, and city. As you drive by our historic plaza, you will notice new sidewalks constructed along several streets in Roma's old town. These improvements will facilitate pedestrian traffic along Lincoln Ave, N Water St, W Convent Ave, Portscheller St, and parts of Estrella St. The federal government recognizes our downtown area as a national historic landmark, which reflects our city's rich history and heritage. The council and city administration have initiated efforts to beautify and restore this area through a S500,000 Downtown Revitalization Grant. This project will not only enhance accessibility for pedestrians but will also ensure that the sidewalks are ADA-compliant. Investing in our historical plaza will further our efforts to make our downtown area more inviting to locals and tourists. I hope everyone appreciates the improvements we have been working on for Roma. There are indeed many needs to address; however, it's important to celebrate what we, as a community, have accomplished thus far. Thank you for your support, and have a wonderful week.
Sincerely,
Mayor
