Dear Roma Citizens,
I hope everyone is having a great week. I wanted to start by congratulating Roma High School's Mighty Gladiator Marching Band for becoming UIL 5A Area G Champions. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and the entire community. The band has earned a spot to compete at the state level in San Antonio, and we couldn't be more proud. On behalf of the City Council and Staff, we wish them the best as they prepare to compete on Monday, November 5th.
On another note, the City of Roma is excited to introduce our new mass messaging alert system. This system will keep you informed about important city services or general announcements from our offices, such as a major water leak in town. It's a convenient way to stay up to date on what's happening in the city, and best of all, ifs free. We encourage everyone to sign up and be part of this valuable service. Consider clicking on the attached link to subscribe today.
This evening, October 30th, the city is hosting a Halloween Movie Night beginning at 7:15 at our Guadalupe Plaza. We're grateful to EMG Entertainment for making this event possible, and we're excited to see you all there. Your participation not only makes these events successful but also supports our community, including the class of 2028. Also, don't forget to attend our monthly Moonlight Market this Saturday, November 2nd, at our downtown Historic District from 6 to 10 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
As always, I wish everyone the best and encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote. Make a well-informed decision in the ballot box and vote the candidates that promote your values and the common good. May God Bless the United States of America!!
Sincerely,
Mayor
